Next meeting,

Our next meeting is Tuesday August 22nd. Once again we have a great speaker lined up for you, his name is Bill Hokstad, he is a great fishermen and has great information for us on our rights and our rights to fish.

OYC will have another great dinner planned, Wes has been working all month on our raffle prizes, we also have two bonus raffles this month, one for everyone who buys the $5.00 dinner, and one for the person who downloaded their photos to the website since our last meeting.

We have some big checks to give away to the winners of our Bass tourney, and of course some great fishing stories from our members.

Hopefully everyone has had the chance to check out our new website. Their has been some great changes to it, you can now see our leaderboard for biggest fish, picture of the week, newsletters, updates, tournament schedule, rules, and of course photo's of members with their fish and photos of members boats.

In years past the club has either kept great records or no records at all. If you look at the 80's and 90's the club would keep highly detailed records of the club with photos for about 4 to 6 years then we would go 4 to 6 years with little or no records at all.

I feel as though it is all of our responsibilities to make sure we have good, complete info on the club for future generations to see what we did. Our kids may want to see some of our club photos and records when they are out on their boats trying to beat their dad's records.

We now have the system in place to organize the info, but what we need is photos from members. We need your fish photos and boat photos. If you have a photo of a buddies boat submit that as well. Just send us some club photos and we will do the rest.

This month I will be picking one winner from all members who submitted photos to our website and they will win a special raffle prize donated by the club.

So don't delay sending in the photos, you have one week before our meeting to qualify.

 How do I download a photo? 

Downloading a photo is easy, anyone can do it.

1. go to our website at www.oceansideanglers.com
2. click on photo gallery then OAC pictures
3. click on upload file
4. select which album you want to download to, (either 2011 or OAC member boats)
5. Click on browse and find the photo you want to upload
6. you are done!

If you want to add remarks or other info then register and you can add anything you would like to say. Also you can email them to the webmaster at oceansideanglersclub@yahoo.com
